30th Annual Port of San Diego Day at the Docks, 
9am - 5pm. A San Diego sportfishing tradition, The Port of San Diego’s Day at the Docks is the West Coast’s largest public celebration of sportfishing. Signaling the official start of Southern California’s spring saltwater fishing season, Day at the Docks takes place on Sunday, April 24th, against the colorful and dynamic backdrop of world renown sportfishing fleet on San Diego Bay. Spectacular fireworks viewing! San Diego Maritime Museum! Great food!  Fantastic 4th!  Bring your family and friends to the waterfront to celebrate the Fourth.  Not only will you have the best view in town of the San Diego Bay fireworks, the proceeds from this event will benefit programs at the Maritime Museum of San Diego.  Saturday, 7:00 p.m. 'till  9:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. (in front of the ferryboat Berkeley) Maritime Museum of San Diego (1492 N.      - Entrance to the oldest active sailing ship in the world, the Star of India -  A chance to explore the HMS Surprise, a B-39 Russian submarine and the elegant steam yacht Medea -  Enjoy your dinner surrounded by beautiful stained glass windows on the steam ferry Berkeley;
